One Tier. Three Inclusions. Seven Hundred and Fifty Canadian Dollars.

Economy Umrah is the answer to a specific question: what is the least I can spend and still perform Umrah properly. The honest answer from Canada is $750 CAD for the land portion, and here is exactly what that buys.

A 3-star Makkah hotel, commonly Nawazi Watheer or Dar Al Eiman Al Khalil, for five nights. Nusuk eVisa processing through the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah portal, including the permanent-resident route. Saudi ground transport, which means a driver meets you at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and the transfers between your hotel and the airport are prepaid. Seven-night versions add a Madinah leg and run toward $1,150 CAD, and the upper end of the economy band at $1,670 CAD buys a closer-in property or a longer stay.

What it does not buy is airfare. That is the whole design. Land-only exists so that a pilgrim who is comfortable booking their own seat on Saudia, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, or Qatar Airways keeps that saving instead of paying a margin on it.

What Cheap Actually Costs You, Said Plainly

Every economy Umrah page on the internet promises value. Very few explain the trade-off, so here it is.

The money you save comes out of distance to the Masjid al-Haram. A 3-star economy hotel is generally a fifteen to twenty-five minute walk from the Haram, or a shuttle ride. During peak prayer times, in heat, that walk is real. For a fit traveller in their thirties it is nothing. For a parent carrying a tired child, or for an elderly pilgrim, it changes the character of the trip.

The second trade-off is room standard. Economy properties are clean and functional. They are not the Clock Tower complex, and the quad occupancy that makes the price work means four people sharing.

The third is flexibility during peak windows. Economy inventory in Ramadan and December is thin and goes early. If you want the cheapest tier during a peak window, book far ahead or accept a property further out.

We would rather you knew all three before paying than discovered them on arrival. If any of them is a dealbreaker, the Gold and all-inclusive tiers exist for exactly that reason.

Land-Only Versus Full Package: Which One Fits You

Choose land-only if you track fares, you are flexible on routing, you are travelling outside peak season, or you already have points or a credit toward a ticket. The saving is genuine and often significant.

Choose all-inclusive if you want one CAD number, you are booking for parents who should not be managing a connection alone, you are travelling during Ramadan or the December break when fares spike, or you simply do not want to think about it.

There is no moral hierarchy between the two. The Umrah is identical. What differs is how much of the logistics you want to own.

One thing to watch if you go land-only: book the flight and the hotel dates in the right order. Pilgrims occasionally lock a cheap fare that arrives a day before their hotel block opens, which turns a saving into an unplanned night in Jeddah. Send us the fare before you buy it and we will sanity-check the dates against the hotel.

Why an Unregistered Cheap Deal Is a Different Risk Entirely

The lowest price in a search result is not always a package. Sometimes it is a listing posted by an intermediary with no registration, no contract with the hotel, and no obligation to you once your deposit clears.

We are TICO registered, which means the Travel Industry Council of Ontario supervises how we handle your money. Your deposit is protected under Ontario’s Travel Industry Act whether you booked the $750 CAD economy tier or the $3,299 CAD Platinum tier. The protection does not scale down with the price.

That matters more at the economy end, not less. A budget pilgrim who loses a deposit to an unregistered reseller has lost the whole trip, not an upgrade.

How the Nusuk eVisa Works on an Economy Booking

The visa service at this tier is the same one we run at every tier. Our team files through the Nusuk platform, checks your photo against Saudi specification before submission, and confirms whether biometric self-enrolment through the Saudi Visa Bio app is required for your case.

Canadian permanent residents travelling on a PR card are eligible; a Canadian passport is not needed. We verify your documents and confirm eligibility in writing before a deposit is requested, which matters particularly at this tier where the deposit may represent a meaningful share of the total.

You will also need a meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate obtained at least ten days before travel, available from any Canadian pharmacy or travel clinic. We check that date against your departure so it never becomes the thing that stops you boarding. Full detail sits on the Umrah visa page.

Cost Guide: Where the $750 to $1,670 Spread Comes From

Nights. Five nights sits at the floor. Seven nights with a Madinah leg moves you toward $1,150 CAD.

Hotel distance. Moving from a shuttle-dependent property to one within walking range of the Haram is the single largest jump inside the economy band.

Season. Shoulder months are materially cheaper than Ramadan or the December school break for an identical room.

Occupancy. Quad is the basis for the published figure. Triple and double supplements are quoted separately, and a couple travelling alone will pay more per person than a family of four.

Send your city, your dates, and your ceiling. The written itemised quote comes back in Canadian dollars within four business hours, and there is no payment required to see it.

How Much Does Economy Umrah From Canada Cost?

An economy Umrah package from Canada costs $750 to $1,670 CAD depending on season, hotel proximity to the Masjid al-Haram, and duration. Land-only means flights are not included, which is exactly why the entry price is this low.

Why Choose Us

Why Canadian Pilgrims Choose Us for Economy Umrah

A real entry price

$750 CAD is a published figure, not a teaser. It buys a 3-star Makkah stay, the Nusuk eVisa, and Saudi ground transport over five nights.

Honest about the shuttle

Economy hotels are further from the Haram. We tell you the walking or shuttle time up front instead of hiding behind the word central.

Flights left to you

If you are comfortable hunting a fare from YYZ or YUL, land-only lets you keep that saving rather than paying an agency margin on airfare.

Same visa service

Economy pilgrims get the identical Nusuk eVisa handling as Platinum pilgrims, PR-card route included. The tier changes the hotel, not the paperwork.

TICO protected

Even at the lowest tier your deposit sits under Ontario's Travel Industry Act protections.

Built for first-timers and students

Most of our economy bookings are first Umrah trips, students, and families watching every dollar. The service does not thin out because the tier is cheaper.

How It Works

How Economy Umrah Works, Step by Step

  1. 1

    Confirm the budget

Tell us your ceiling per person. We build the economy tier to fit it rather than quoting a number and hoping you accept it.

  2. 2

    Pick the hotel trade-off

Closer to the Haram costs more. We show you two or three economy properties with their actual walking or shuttle times so the trade-off is yours to make.

  3. 3

    Visa filed

Nusuk eVisa processing through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah portal, including for PR card holders, with the fee shown as its own line.

  4. 4

You book flights, we match dates

Once you have your own fare on Saudia, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, or Qatar Airways, we align hotel check-in and the JED arrival transfer to it.

  5. 5

    Ground side locked

Arrival transfer, Makkah stay, Madinah leg, and return to the airport are confirmed before departure.

Economy Umrah Questions, Answered

What is an economy Umrah package and what does it include?

An economy Umrah package is the land-only budget tier. It includes a 3-star Makkah hotel such as Nawazi Watheer or Dar Al Eiman Al Khalil, Nusuk eVisa processing, Saudi ground transport including the Jeddah arrival transfer, and a five to seven night stay. International flights are not included, which is what keeps the entry price at $750 CAD.

What is the difference between a land-only and a full Umrah package?

Land-only covers everything inside Saudi Arabia plus the visa, and leaves the flights to you. A full or all-inclusive package adds return airfare from a Canadian airport into a single CAD price. Land-only starts at $750 CAD; all-inclusive starts at $2,195 CAD, and the gap is essentially the airfare.

Which hotels do economy Umrah packages use near the Haram?

Typically 3-star properties such as Nawazi Watheer and Dar Al Eiman Al Khalil. These sit further from the Masjid al-Haram than the Clock Tower complex, usually a walk of fifteen to twenty-five minutes or a short shuttle ride. We give you the actual distance for each property before you choose.

Can I book flights separately and use a land-only economy package?

Yes, that is exactly what the tier is for. Once you hold your own fare on Saudia, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, or Qatar Airways, send us the itinerary and we align the hotel check-in dates and the King Abdulaziz International Airport transfer to your actual arrival time.

Is the Nusuk eVisa still included at the economy tier?

Yes. Visa assistance is included at every tier, and the government eVisa fee appears as a separate line on your written quote. PR card holders are eligible on the same terms as citizens.

How much should I budget for flights on top of an economy package?

Return fares from Toronto or Montreal to Jeddah vary widely with season and how far ahead you book. Peak Ramadan and December windows cost considerably more than shoulder months. We can tell you what routings look reasonable for your dates, even though you are booking them yourself.

Is an economy package suitable for elderly pilgrims?

Often not, and we will say so. Economy hotels involve longer walks or shuttle transfers, which is difficult for pilgrims with limited mobility. If you are travelling with elderly parents we usually recommend a closer property even if it means moving up a tier.

Can I upgrade parts of an economy package?

Yes. The most common upgrades are a closer Makkah hotel, an extra night in Madinah, and a private transfer instead of a shared one. Each is quoted as its own line so you can see what the upgrade actually costs before agreeing to it.

Does the economy tier include a Madinah stay?

The seven-night economy itineraries include a Madinah leg with the intercity transfer arranged. The shortest five-night itineraries are usually Makkah-focused. We confirm which structure your quote reflects rather than leaving it implied.
